Upgrading the tiling in your home is no small decision.

If you’re on the hunt for the perfect looking tile, we’ve rounded up some of the hottest tiling trends set to dominate in 2018.

Plenty of pattern

Inject some boldness into your home with a confident, patterned tile to create a striking kitchen splashback or to set off that crisp white, free-standing bath. Selecting a neutral coloured pattern with white, grey or black is a great option if you’re afraid of colour commitment, as you can mix up colour schemes by changing towelling and vases as regularly as you like.

Contrasting grout

This distinct look, particularly when combined with subway tiles, has been around for a while and its popularity continues to grow. Experimenting with the colour of your grout is a fantastic way to add some contrast and texture to your space, and looks remarkable in a provincial setting.

Composition is key

We’re starting to see a lot of creativity in the way tiles are being laid… And it’s exciting! If you’re looking to make a statement, but perhaps a subtle one, add some intrigue by playing with the composition of your tiles. Chevron and herringbone patterns are emerging and can look fantastic in any colour.

Black is the new black

There’s no denying it, black has long been known to add a sophisticated touch to any space it’s used in. Why not take it one step further and choose a black grout to make the area extra sleek? If you love this look but it’s a little too bold for your taste, consider highlighting one area of your bathroom, kitchen or laundry with a feature wall in this all-black style.

Glass tiles

Glass tiles are a fantastic way to add some dimension and texture to the space. Available in a wide variety of colours, shapes and sizes, glass tiles can produce a truly unique look. Due to the high-gloss nature of this style, have fun experimenting with matte fixtures and accessories to create a stunning harmony in your chosen area.
